Sam's birthday trip to Crayola Factory, Easton, PA

Sam decided to go to Crayola Factory in Easton, Pennsylvania for his birthday, and invited his friends Ethan and Tristan. The kids had a blast!

Friend of the week

A few weeks ago Sam was "friend of the week". Each child in his class gets to be the friend of the week once this year. During this week, all of Sam's classmates made a card for him and wrote a compliment for Sam. Here are the cards:

School trip to the Bronx Zoo

Sam's whole grade went on a trip to the Bronx Zoo (as a culmination of their research project about rainforest animals). Elena was one of the parent chaperones for this trip. Great day out with the kids!

Mother's day presents from Sam and Katherine


Sam made this sweet card. The text says: "Dear Mom, I love you as much as my best friend. I love you when you read to me. I love you when you kiss me. Love Sam"

Sam also made a sculpture of the orange elephant, and a little star-shaped cardboard box (which he also decorated) for mom's small keepsakes.

This was a gift from Katherine! :) She brought this from daycare. It includes the prints of both of her feet

Rainforest Extravaganza at Sam's school

The kids spent the last few months researching a rain forest animal. Sam's animal is caiman, it looks similar to a crocodile

Parents were invited to a celebration called Rainforest Extravaganza, where kids showed off their written reports, a movie they made, and showed us a "living museum" where parents could go around and ask the kids questions about their animals.
